Architect | Designer. CG Design Studio. Paris, France.
Marcello Bozzarelli obtained a degree in Architecture from the University of Ferrara in 2003 and has been a Chartered Architect registered with the National Institute of Italian Architects – Province of Modena, since 2004.
Since October 2011 he has lived and worked in Paris, where he collaborates with CGD, an international architecture firm, designing a private super yacht, luxury interiors and houses in Geneva and in Vancouver, Canada.
Until 2011 he worked with Uainot Architetti as senior project manager. He was responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and monitoring design projects dealing with the creation, management and transformation of commercial or productive spaces, temporary exhibitions or design events.
He has collaborated with leading international companies, including Marazzi Group and Tagina (ceramic tiles), Corradi Group (outdoor living space), Il Casone and Budri (quarrying and stone processing), and “made in Italy” business icons such as Armani Casa, De Castelli, GT Design, Martinelli Luce, Paola Lenti, Pircher Oberland and Viabizzuno.
Until 2011 he designed the temporary restaurant & cafe and design exhibition space for Elle Decor magazine during the Fair-Off Design Week in Milan (4 editions). He also designed temporary exhibition spaces for some of Italy's most important design and architecture trade fairs, such as Fair-Off Design Week in Milan, Cersaie in Bologna, MadeExpo in Milan, Sun in Rimini, Abitare il Tempo and Marmomacc in Verona.
In 2006 he was co-founder of the Frassinago group, which comprised two main branches: Frassinagodiciotto (a commercial exhibition space for outdoor furniture and temporary design event spaces) and FrassinagoLAB Ltd office, specializing above all in the design of indoor-outdoor spaces and ephemeral architectures, based on the collaboration between interior designers and landscape architects.
In 2004 he started working with the Bologna-based GLR Architects firm; he was involved in residential design and interior design, especially for private housing, and furnishing and luxury boat design. At the same time, he continues his research into architectural restoration and the protection-enhancement of the architecture of the Modern Movement.
His professional experience in the field of architecture and interior design, together with his background in Architectural Restoration, has developed his sensitivity to design context, while his collaboration with other professionals has fostered his awareness that designing any space, indoor or outdoor, permanent or temporary, means examining a location carefully in order to capture and convert its potential into the quality-oriented achievement of customer satisfaction.
